I wish Michael had spoken up for the people of Gaza when they were bombed by their occupier Israel in 2008-2009.1400 people were murdered over 400 children, over 200 women.Thousands were seriously wounded.Israel bombed hospitals,a medical school and University,ambulances, homes full of families and kept wounded from getting medical care as Syria is doing now.Both Public and private infrastructure was bombed including the Parliament building, 5 UN buildings,schools and UN storage facilites that contained International donated humanitarian goods. The sole American school was bombed.13 Israelis died in the “war”/massacre.4 soldiers were killed by their own troops in its frenzy to kill as many “enemy”as possible children were shot deliberately. 3 Israeli dead were civilians.Israel started the massacre with the bombings all over Gaza, all the police stations including a police graduation ceremony killing dozens of new graduates.The first day attack took place as children were getting out of school. Children were running wildly around with no family protection and parents no doubt rushed out to find their children. Israel knows everthing about Gaza and the timing was deliberate.It regularly shoots missiles from Israel into Gaza and assassinate “suspects” driving their cars or motarcycles as in a recent sucessful assassniation.Assad is guilty of merciless killing.Thousands of Syrians have fled to Turkey,Lebanon and other places to escape the ruthless killings. Israel claims it warned the people of Gaza they should leave their homes because the bombs were going to start but all of Gaza was bombed and Israel controls all borders including the sea so Gazans had no where to run.They were trapped in their prison.During this massacre soldiers told people to go into certain homes and then the planes came over and bombed the “shelters”.This is all in the Goldstone report and Richard Falk as UN rapporteur was denied access after the massacre as was Desmond Tu Tu. The people of Gaza are still trapped within their borders and are denied the rights of all other people internationally to come and go though their own borders by Israel.Citizens of Gaza are controlled by Israel so completely Israel decides who can have a Palestinian passport not the Palestinian government..I have one but Isarael must assign a number to complete the “process” not the PA.Israeli Palestinians and Palestinians from Gaza who live out of Gaza cannot visit Gaza with tiny exceptions.
