The situation in Syria continues to deteriorate, while the brutality of the regime, which has killed well over 3,000 people and tortured even children, has escalated. Meanwhile, a group of Western commentators continues to carry water for President Bashar al-Assad. Their defense of a brutal dictatorship cannot go unchallenged or unexamined.
